2017 Huliau Food and Film Festival

Chef Maja was a featured event chef at the 2017 Huliau Food and Film Festival. The festival features multiple chef-run farm-to-table stations, and a cash bar of 100% locally-produced cocktails, beer and wine. Guests enjoy live music, a silent auction, and a food-themed student film contest. All funds raised benefit Maui Huliau Foundation’s environmental education programs for Maui youth.

Our Menu

We provide in-house private chef services on Maui and the neighboring islands for parties of 2-50 people. Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian requests are graciously accommodated.

  • We had Chef Maja and her team do our wedding for about 40 guests. Everyone gave compliments about the food and I mean everyone!! They all said that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. The favorite was the filet mignon while my in-laws loved the macadamia and coconut crusted fresh catch. Maja is super nice and very easy to work with. She is accommodating and her suggestions were super helpful- it was a destination wedding so I had to make all my decisions based on pictures. She volunteered to make a site visit to the venue, saved me lots of trouble and I can’t be thankful enough. She even helped me to find a coordinator and a bartender. I would definitely love to have her food again when we go back to Maui.

  • Chef Maja was fabulous! She came to our unit and did a 4-hour cooking clinic for my 10-year-old daughter and together they prepared a feast of epic proportions. From fresh island fish to farm-fresh vegetables and awesome meats. It was a great experience for our entire family and Chef Maja is a burst of energy.   • Maja catered dinner for our group of 11 and everyone loved her food. She added a local touch on some of the dishes and exposed us to some new foods, while also taking dishes we have had in the past and raised the bar on many of them. The fish that we had the first night was incredible. My 8-year-old said it was the best fish he ever had. We found out about Maja from a concierge and discovered why she came so highly recommended. We will certainly recommend her to anyone coming to the island and hope she is available the next time we come back to Maui.
